Still Waiting

This gentleman seemed a little bored as he modeled for us while resting his head upon his elbow.

Later I realized that it could be an ideal pose for an artwork alluding to the lack of progress on racial justice here in the United States of America.

My choice of colors and decorative trim were influenced by classical Greek black, red and white narrative pottery. It's strong and beautiful and I could appropriate its classical historical context into this artwork.
